About the Journal
Journal of Civil Aspects and Structural Engineering (JCASE) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary scientific journal dedicated to the exploration and advancement of civil engineering and structural engineering principles. This journal aims to serve as a comprehensive platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share innovative research findings, practical applications, and insightful theories that address the challenges and opportunities within the field. JCASE invites contributions that cover a broad spectrum of topics including, but not limited to, the design, construction, maintenance, and management of structures and infrastructure; sustainable and green building materials; earthquake engineering; soil-structure interaction; structural health monitoring; and the impact of technological advancements on civil and structural engineering practices. By fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue, JCASE aims to contribute to the development of resilient, sustainable, and innovative solutions that improve the built environment and public welfare.
Scope of the Journal
JCASE covers a wide range of traditional and emerging disciplines, including but not limited to the following areas:

Sustainable and Green Construction Technologies: Innovative approaches to sustainable building practices, green materials, and eco-friendly design principles that address environmental challenges and contribute to the development of sustainable urban environments.

Earthquake Engineering and Seismic Retrofitting: Studies focused on improving the earthquake resilience of buildings and infrastructure through innovative design, assessment, and retrofitting strategies.

Civil Engineering Informatics: Application of information technology and digital tools in the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of civil engineering projects.

Water Resources Engineering: Research on the management of water resources, including hydrology, water supply and distribution, wastewater treatment, and flood control.

Geotechnical Engineering: Advances in the understanding of soil mechanics and its application to the design of foundations, retaining structures, and other ground engineering systems.

Transportation Engineering: Innovative solutions for transportation systems, infrastructure design, traffic management, and the impact of transportation on the environment and society.

Structural Health Monitoring and Inspection: Development and application of techniques for the monitoring, inspection, and condition assessment of structures to ensure safety and reliability.

Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief
The new Editor-in-Chief will have full editorial responsibility for the content published in JCASE. They will ensure that the journal’s high standards are maintained and oversee the commissioning of appropriate non-research content. The Editor-in-Chief will also lead the editorial board and play a key role in shaping the journal's strategic direction.
Term of Appointment
The initial term of appointment is three years, with the possibility of renewal by mutual agreement.
